Nothing is tastier than a traditional dish. Eating at Mondschein means to try the sparkling kitchen of our chef Marco Da Rin Bettina: thanks to his great ease and his contemporary elegance, he is able to express the most authentic local culinary tradition. The best example of his ability is the particular egg, cooked at 149°F, accompanied by champignons, bacon and Saurnschotte emulsion – a fresh local cheese flavoured with Perschtroum, the mountain terragon.

Worth to notice: the gentian digestive and most of all the “Nonna Ines”, a re-interpretation, respecting the authentic mountains tradition, of a family recipe handed down through 4 generations.

The food materials of our dishes are pure, authentic and natural, as well as the real mountain kitchen. Our products come from regional agricultures and manufacturers who are regularly checked and connected with us by reciprocal regard and sometimes by a long-dating friendship. In this way we are able to guarantee endless research, food traceability and continuous experimentation. You will get the opportunity to taste the wild herbs such as the Perschtroum (the mountain terragon), the appreciated Sauris trout or the Saurnschotte (the fresh cheese that you can only eat in Sappada). You just need to fall in love with the genuine and intense flavours of our dishes!
